Amount of Rainfall Measured by Vertical
and Tilted Rain Gages
By C. Sritulanon, M. Bhudhawong  and S. Rauysungnern
This comparative study has been done at Lamtakong Watershed Research Station, Pakchong district, Nakornratchasima province. The amount of rainfall measured by vertical raingage was higher than those in tilted raingages because this area was located in the valley where wind was turbulent during thundering storm. The tilted raingage facing north was likely to collect more rain than the others.
